Quuppa’s Angle Of Arrival (AOA)<\/strong> positioning technology is one of the Real-Time Locating System (RTLS) solutions based on calculating the angle formed between a tracking tag and an antenna in a 3D reference frame.<\/p>

To operate, this technology relies on an infrastructure consisting of Quuppa’s 360\u00b0 Locators<\/strong> and Quuppa-compatible <\/strong>tracking tags<\/strong>, which are attached to the equipment being tracked or worn by the person to be located. The Locators are placed high enough to cover the largest possible area.<\/p>

Once the Locators collect data, it is processed and analyzed by the Quuppa Positioning Engine<\/strong> (QPE), a component of the Quuppa Positioning suite. The next step involves using the Southbound DATA API, enabling the extraction of information such as location coordinates, quality index, timestamp, tag ID, zone, etc.<\/p>

This data is then transferred to the Quuppa Rules and Queries Engines, where it can be used for event management, alerts, report generation, and interfacing with mobile SDKs. The Northbound EVENT API <\/strong>converts this data into an easily understandable format, presenting it on an enterprise IoT platform<\/strong> in the form of maps or dashboards.<\/p>
