To locate and inventory a fleet of farm machinery, the connected solution uses Bluetooth identification beacons<\/strong> and GPS trackers<\/strong> (known as gateways). Bluetooth beacons are attached to farm machinery, while GPS units are installed on motorized equipment.<\/p>\n

Thanks to their unique identification number (UUID)<\/strong>, the operator can associate each beacon with a machine to be tracked. The beacons emit their identifiers at regular intervals<\/strong>, and when a motorized vehicle equipped with a GPS tracker passes by, the latter scans and collects the data transmitted by the beacons<\/strong>. The position of the machines is then uploaded to the customer’s servers\/cloud, and the data can be viewed on an IoT platform<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In this way, the farmer can monitor the condition of his fleet of farming equipment, automatically calculate time of use, keep a record of tasks carried out, define predictive maintenance alerts, or calculate areas worked.<\/p>\n

The farmer can then view his herd’s daily activity on a mobile or PC application<\/strong>. He can find out where each animal is and its activity level. The user can define movement thresholds to trigger automatic alerts in the event of abnormal activity to improve herd management.<\/p>\n

The box will then act as a gateway and transmit the geolocation and identification information to your IoT platform<\/strong> via the 3G\/4G cellular network.<\/p>\n

The operator will then be able to visualize on this platform the inventory of his fleet of vehicles, to follow the coupling and uncoupling of his trailers and to manage his loading docks and thus quickly identify the blocking points that could be the cause of delays.<\/p>\n
