Desarrollada por un consorcio de empresas (Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia y Toshiba) denominado <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluetooth.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"color:#006fe0\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Grupo de Inter\u00e9s Especial Bluetooth<\/span><\/a><\/strong> (abreviado Bluetooth SIG), la tecnolog\u00eda Bluetooth se extendi\u00f3 muy r\u00e1pidamente, y ahora se encuentra en todas partes de nuestra vida cotidiana, desde tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes y accesorios de alta fidelidad hasta robots dom\u00e9sticos. Sin embargo, para sustituir a las conexiones por cable, el Bluetooth &#8220;cl\u00e1sico&#8221; debe ofrecer altas velocidades de transmisi\u00f3n de datos, lo que hace que esta tecnolog\u00eda consuma relativamente mucha energ\u00eda. Adem\u00e1s, su alcance de transmisi\u00f3n es bastante corto: entre 10 y 15 metros como m\u00e1ximo.     <\/p>\n\n<p>Unos diez a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s del lanzamiento de Bluetooth, el <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/elainnovation.com\/quest-que-le-bluetooth-low-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"color:#006fe0\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Bluetooth de baja energ\u00eda (BLE)<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>democratizada por Apple con iBeacon. De hecho, estas dos tecnolog\u00edas se utilizan con fines distintos. El Bluetooth &#8220;convencional&#8221; se utiliza para procesar, transferir e intercambiar grandes cantidades de datos sin interrupci\u00f3n (por ejemplo, audio), mientras que el <strong>Bluetooth LE<\/strong> se utiliza para la transferencia peri\u00f3dica de peque\u00f1as cantidades de datos (temperatura, hora, identificador, etc.). Su funcionamiento discontinuo hace que <strong>esta tecnolog\u00eda consuma menos energ\u00eda<\/strong>, lo que permite que las balizas y sensores inal\u00e1mbricos funcionen durante varios a\u00f1os. Adem\u00e1s, como <strong>Bluetooth Low Energy<\/strong> ofrece alcances de hasta varios cientos de metros, muchas empresas industriales est\u00e1n recurriendo a esta tecnolog\u00eda.    <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-horizontal is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-03627597 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/elainnovation.com\/es\/baliza-bluetooth\/\" style=\"background-color:#006fe0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es una baliza Bluetooth?<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Pero, como cualquier tecnolog\u00eda de comunicaci\u00f3n inal\u00e1mbrica, <strong>BLE<\/strong> se comportar\u00e1 de forma diferente seg\u00fan el entorno en el que se utilice. En este art\u00edculo, analizamos su comportamiento en 4 entornos diferentes: Pol\u00edgono industrial, oficinas, submarino y subterr\u00e1neo. <\/p>\n\n<p>Sin embargo, independientemente del entorno, <strong>dos criterios principales definen el rendimiento<\/strong> de un enlace BLE RF: <strong>el RSSI <\/strong>, que caracteriza <strong>la intensidad de la se\u00f1al<\/strong> medida por el detector (esc\u00e1ner BLE), y <strong>la tasa de recepci\u00f3n<\/strong>, que caracteriza la <strong>tasa de \u00e9xito de una transmisi\u00f3n BLE<\/strong>. El uso de transmisores de alta potencia o detectores de alta sensibilidad (con o sin antena externa, con o sin preamplificaci\u00f3n) mejora el RSSI, ofreciendo mayores alcances del enlace BLE. <strong>Se pueden alcanzar<\/strong> distancias de trabajo de <strong>100 m con equipos est\u00e1ndar<\/strong>, y de hasta <strong>500 m con equipos especializados<\/strong>. La velocidad de recepci\u00f3n depende del n\u00famero de transmisores BLE visibles para el esc\u00e1ner y de su periodo de recurrencia. En estos entornos, las distancias de comunicaci\u00f3n pueden variar de un punto a otro y pueden existir &#8220;zonas de sombra&#8221;. En la pr\u00e1ctica, <strong>los detectores<\/strong> deben <strong>instalarse lo m\u00e1s lejos posible de los objetos met\u00e1licos de mayor tama\u00f1o.<\/strong> A veces tambi\u00e9n ser\u00e1 necesario aumentar el n\u00famero de detectores o utilizar antenas remotas para cubrir las zonas de sombra. Como ya se ha explicado, el alcance de BLE depende de varios factores, entre ellos la elecci\u00f3n de las balizas. El Bluetooth SIG proporciona una calculadora de alcance estimado basada en una serie de criterios, como la ganancia de la antena y la potencia de transmisi\u00f3n. Sin embargo, estos entornos se caracterizan por la presencia de objetos met\u00e1licos de tama\u00f1o peque\u00f1o y mediano (pantallas, ordenadores, etc.) y objetos absorbentes (cuerpos humanos en particular) que pueden alterar ligeramente el alcance de la se\u00f1al. En la actualidad, las ondas sonoras (sonar) son utilizadas en particular por los submarinos para comunicarse. Sin embargo, la <strong>gama de frecuencias utilizada para las comunicaciones Bluetooth <\/strong>(pero tambi\u00e9n WiFi y Zigbee), en torno a 2,4 GHz, se ha <strong>elegido porque corresponde a la m\u00e1xima absorci\u00f3n por las mol\u00e9culas de agua<\/strong>. Esto limita el alcance de estas comunicaciones y significa que pueden utilizarse para redes &#8220;locales&#8221; que no necesiten contaminar las redes adyacentes. Sumergido en agua l\u00edquida, el alcance de un enlace de radiofrecuencia de 2,4 GHz <strong>raramente supera 1 m<\/strong>. Del mismo modo, bajo tierra, las se\u00f1ales de 2,4 GHz se absorben muy fuertemente, bien por la presencia de agua, bien por la presencia de part\u00edculas met\u00e1licas en las rocas, que act\u00faan como objetos dispersores\/difractores. El alcance de BLE en estos entornos tambi\u00e9n es del orden de 1 m.      <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:52px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>En conclusi\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Como todas las tecnolog\u00edas de comunicaci\u00f3n inal\u00e1mbrica, <strong>BLE<\/strong> se comportar\u00e1 de forma diferente seg\u00fan el entorno en el que se utilice, pero sigue ofreciendo un rendimiento bueno y suficiente, incluso en entornos complejos.
